ok so if the solar flare fries all of the generators and stuff thus knocking out the electricity, what effect would it have on solar, wind, hydro power for say a household that is "off the grid" concerning electricity?

even that, it wouldnt take much to bring power back to the grid...its just the fact that animal instinct will take over certain types of people....

ITS HAPPENING AGAIN! I remember when the world ended 10 years ago. I was at a party. I couldn't remember much. A total blackout. I heard all the computers crashed, nuclear powerplants went into meltdown. The governments failed. Its too soon for that kinda chaos. Too soon...

Illusion and I typically talk about this kind of thing, 2012 and all...

... NASA documents as side, The galactic line up theory is out. Theories that say we when we line up perfectly with our sun and the center of the galaxy, that something will happen. Since the exact mathematical line up occurred in 1998 , (and nothing happened) , it doest bother me that in 2012 when we 'kinda' line up again something will happen.

...the radiation referred to previously, is radiation that comes the SMBH's (Super massive black holes) at the center of galaxies. since these jets fire up and down, perpendicular to the galactic disc, there is no way we can be hit by them. Unless we are some how knocked out of alignment and that would billions of years* for us to make into the path.

Mayan Source, so since the many calendars kept by the Mayan Civilizations vary in length, depending on the use, and since many people argue on the exact way to read a calendar, and the exact values of numerals used the mayan alphabet are not known, leads me to believe, this just a bad date.

In short, If you want to believe new age books and magazines on the 2012 phenomenon, thats one thing. (My fav is the one about Nibiru causing the downfall of walmart, 2012 Survival guide), but trying to prove it scientifically or mathmatically just isnt the way to go.

On the topic of theories though, this one is my favorite:

Personally i think its aload of rubbish... There have been to many apocalypse threats, many people havent heard of.. If it does happen then im fine with it aslong as i have my xbox and beer fridge in heaven
